Part Time Social Media Specialist

SHiFT Recovery provides international residential and virtual treatment programs for people struggling with food dependency. We have been lifting people up and out of the depths of food dependency for over 30 years and we are currently growing and expanding our audience. We are committed to providing a deep and meaningful impact on people’s lives while offering cutting edge treatment options. Our goal is to be Champions and Builders of the solution to the devastation of food dependency

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in social media marketing and ideally food addiction recovery, as well as strong interpersonal and communications skills. This person is passionate about social media and avidly researches new trends to understand the best way to represent SHiFT Recovery through each platform.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is an exciting time at SHiFT as we continue to grow and you as the part time (approx. 20hours/week) Social Media Specialist will be a huge part of this. You will create valuable content experiences that work to connect, excite, motivate, and build loyalty in order to keep audiences active and growing. You will shape powerful narratives that move customers through all stages from awareness through advocacy including consideration,

conversion and loyalty.

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

·   Set the standard: Execute experimental, bold ideas for SHiFT Recovery marketing channels that everyone will talk about, engage with, and

share because they haven’t seen it before. Push SHiFT out front and keep us on the edge. Stay curious and keep exploring new, disruptive

ways to surprise our audience and draw people in.

·    Connect the user journey: Plan for and build a connected story across digital platforms, including social channels, email and web, making the

audience feel inspired by each narrative layer and ready to act.

·    Demonstrate magnetic storytelling: Be confident writing for and working across a range of digital mediums (social, web, email, video, etc.)

and push for high quality content with every post.

·    Generate engagement and growth: Listen and engage with social audiences (comments, messages, etc.), maintaining a pulse on social media

conversations, curating and posting content across SHiFT’s social channels. Respond to culture, stay in trending critical conversations, and

keep things fresh.

·    Prove undeniable value: Consider always how our ideas/strategies will provide value to our customers if we are doing it right.

·    Plan and implement social media and blog hosted contests and promotions.

 EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE

·      Experience with social media marketing with a focus on Instagram and Facebook

·  Ideally a lived experience with food addiction recovery

SKILLS + ABILITIES

·      Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly with lead funnel creation and optimization

·      Demonstrable experience with social media

· Solid knowledge of creating and optimizing social media ads

·      Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

·      Communicate in an honest, transparent, and authentic way

·     Take ownership and responsibility for your actions, behaviours, and contributions

·      Passion for supporting people on their journeys to their best lives
